Dental clinic opens in Minj

A FULLY-equipped state-of-the-art dental clinic opened in Minj on Thursday for the 300,000 people of Jiwaka.
It is named Paul Tunn Memorial Dental Project, after the first president of Nondugl Rotary Club, the late Paul Tunn. Andrias Okun is the current president.
The facility comprises a full set of dental equipment and tools
funded by the Rotary Club of Green Hills, Australia.
Jiwaka Governor Dr William Tongamp provided counterpart support for the dental clinic building, fencing and transportation of dental equipment up from containers in Lae.
The total cost of the project was almost K1 million.
Rotary Australia team leader Adrian Roach said the target population was school children who would be treated, encouraged and continually be engaged in school programmes aimed at promoting clean, healthy, and strong white teeth.
