Dept to select new NHC managing director: Kaupa

THE National Housing Corporation (NHC) managing director will be selected under the Department of Personnel Management and Public Service Commission, says NHC Minister John Kaupa.
Kaupa said current NHC managing director Ditha Morris’ term had expired on May 2 and he had the powers to appoint an acting MD.
“Under the Act, the National Housing Corporation board has appointed principal legal officer, Elizabeth Bowada, as the acting MD to fill the position until an appointment of a permanent MD,” he said.
The minister said an acting MD should be selected within the department.
Kaupa, who is also the Moresby North-East MP, said due to disciplinary actions he had suspended his district administrator (DA).
He said National Capital District Commission city manager Bernard Kipit had been acting in the position.
