Despite hiccups,Sinai did well

REGARDLESS of very negative comments against the office of the Electoral Commissioner (EC) and his staff across PNG, they have delivered the General Election 2022 (GE22) to the people of Papua New Guinea.
The EC, within the short period of time he was appointed, has beaten all the odds and successfully implemented the return of writs for the members elected.
Most people in the country have a tendency of taking advantage of the mistakes made and make unnecessary comments, including those in news headlines that have been highly defamatory and very discouraging without understanding the actual process involved.
Simon Sinai has spent years working with electoral offices in other provinces, particularly in Morobe, and he made his way up to be where he is now.
He is very qualified to lead the GE22 and finally completed satisfactorily the election obligations.
If the EC was a politically appointed person without election experience, he would have resigned or given up when taking into account the negative criticisms and a lot of election-related problems.
Commissioner, you have stood out well and delivered the results for the 11th Parliament.
Discrepancies and illegal practices by candidates and their supporters at polling and counting rooms or stations may have affected the election results but those need to be referred to the Court of Disputed Returns for further assessment.
The laws will spell out and justify our actions as leaders.
Taking a seat in the National Parliament through illegal practices does not give anyone competency and peace to represent the people.
All in all, GE22 was delivered.
Congratulations to the electoral commissioner, senior management and other officers.
The currents ups and downs give you necessary experience to start preparing now and hit the target smoothly in GE27.
