Developing Kumuls of the future

Letters

IT would be nice if the Papua New Guinea Rugby Football League could visit PNG children and youths in schools and universities across the eastern seaboard of Australia (Queensland and NSW) and encourage and monitor them as rugby league players.
Australia has a very strong rugby league system in all levels of education where many PNG students play.
There are potentially so many future Amelia Kuks and James Segeyaros running around in campuses across Qld and NSW that PNGRFL ought to show interest and develop a system to get them motivated and encouraged to play rugby league so they are groomed as future PNG Kumuls and Orchids.
I tell you, if PNGRFL can do this and nurture our kids down in Australia, we will have half of our Kumuls or Orchids selection dilemma solved. This will help PNG coaching staff from going around looking for reluctant people like Alex Johnson (South Sydney) who turns down PNG every time he is asked.
