Digicel cheating customers

Letters

ON many occasions, after I recharge my account with mobile credits, I instantly receive promotion messages via Short Messaging Services (SMS) – especially the number “430303” and others.
When re-checking my balance upon receiving this SMS, I realise credits have been deducted for unknown reasons.
This has been continuing for a while and I feel that what Digicel is doing is unethical, unprofessional and can be considered as fraud.
This is injustice for the silent majority, especially the less fortunate citizens residing in rural settings that are greatly affected, who depend on Digicel’s communication platform to conduct daily business and communicate with family members beyond reach.
I call on relevant agencies to investigate this practice and put an end to it.
It’s time to take back PNG from corporate fraudsters.
