Disabled man thanks Nasfund

A WHEELCHAIR-bound man has thanked the country’s largest superannuation, Nasfund, for making its services available to him.
“I am really happy with the service provided to me by the Port Moresby branch staff and thankful to Nasfund for helping me to build my savings,” Jireh Taylor Widuh, from Bonahitam village in Yangoru-Saussia of East Sepik, said.
The 48-year-old may be a person living with disability but has been employed by a security firm as a CCTV camera officer in 1998 and started contributing to Nasfund in January 2000.
Widuh said he was impressed with the efficiency of the staff at the Port Moresby branch in handling his withdrawal application this week.
In 2005, his employer merged with Protect Security and he continued working for the new employer until the company, again, merged with G4S Security in May 2018.
Widuh resigned from his company in order to start his own business and needed his Nasfund savings to help facilitate his plans.
Nasfund’s Port Moresby service centre supervisor Airi Kaipu said they were happy to help their members with their retirement savings and a person like Widuh deserved the best service they could provide.
