THE Boroko District Court is today expected to hear whether the police prosecutor has a case against Sanctuary Hotel operations manager Jamie Pang who is charged with having and making dangerous drugs under the Dangerous Drug Act 1951.
Magistrate Garry Unjo yesterday adjourned the case because the prosecutor was not ready to respond to a submission by defence lawyer Simon Nutley from Ficco and Nutley Lawyers.
“This court will allow the prosecution to present the police file which Pang was charged with under the Dangerous Drug Act by the police,” he said.
The court, on Dec 10, allowed Pang on a K10,000 bail for the two charges.
Magistrate Unjo said everyone had the right to bail.
Pang, an Australian from Sydney, was also on Friday fined a total of K130,000 by the Boroko District Court for 11 offences under the Firearms Act which he pleaded guilty to.
