District puts K100,000 for registration

National

THE Yangoru-Saussia district in East Sepik has allocated more than K100,000 to implement the national identification system – the second district in the country to do so.
This follows the signing of a memorandum of understanding between MP Richard Maru, district development authority chief executive officer Fantson Yaninen and acting Registrar-General Michael Kumung in Port Moresby on Friday.
The first district to do so was Bulolo in Morobe.
Maru said the district was committed to register its 75,000 people in the four local level governments of East Yangoru Rural, West-Yangoru Rural, Numbo Rural and Sausso Rural.
