THE revamped library at the Divine Word University’s St Benedict’s Campus, in Wewak, East Sepik, was opened yesterday.
Wewak Catholic Diocese Bishop Jozef Roszynski blessed the library before it was opened.
Jozef was invited to the opening by vice-president Fr Dr Lawrence Arokiaraj.
“We pray this library will be a place where light shines in the darkness, where exciting new insights are gained, where both knowledge and wisdom are nurtured,” Bishop Jozef told students at the opening.
“May this be a place for generations to come where people are enabled to rise to the challenge of daring to be wise.
“May this be an environment where both mind and spirit find healthy nurture.
“We give thanks for all the work that has been undertaken and planned by vice-president Fr Lawrence Arokiaraj, then done by so many people in planning, building and renovating.”
