THE Dockers proved too strong for the Gulf Giants to maintain their unbeaten record intact after seven rounds in BSP premiership AFL competition in Port Moresby.

The Dockers won the match 11.5 (71) to 2.1 (13).

The Dockers lead the competition on 28 points followed by Tigers 24, Cats and Kokofas 20, Suns 16, Koboni 12, Giants 8, Magpies and Hawks 4 and Bombers have yet to taste victory.

On Sunday Amini Park belonged to the Dockers as they sailed and soared and ran in twos and threes to rip apart the Giants.

Midfielders Sylvester Mangaea, Desmond Kaumu, Valu Nakas, Wesley Yuwi (later named man-of-the-match) and Paul Tika were in the zone winning possessions in the centre to feed the goal-hungry forwards led by Stanis Isu, Sebby Gelu and rising star Tonton Kuvi.

Champion Mosquitoes ruckman Peter Milaura was the outstanding performer in the Giants camp, winning his share of ball in the hit outs and in aerial contests but it was not enough for his side.
