 POPONDETTA Rugby League champions M4M Bulldogs beat Royals 16-6 in the main encounter on Sunday.

Bulldogs scored all their points in the first half but held on for the win. 

Five-eighth Chris Sevese scored in the 15th minute and converted his own try, followed by skipper Samuel Keko (20th) and John Bogembo (25th) which was converted by halfback Farapo Makura.

Royals retaliated with a four pointer from fullback Freddy Kuman, who added the extras to his try to trail 16-6.
