MARITIME West Eagles and Dockers look set to thrill the Port Moresby AFL crowd in the top-of-the-table clash at the Colts Oval on Sunday.
Both teams are unbeaten so far after five rounds five.
West appear to be the team to beat with top-class footballers — Alois Mondo (fullback), Raymond Vogae (centre half-back), John James Lavai (centreman), Dunstall Kase (centre half-forward) and Jeffery Namete (full-forward) — in key positions
The others on the flanks will feed off them while the combination of Greg Ekari, Kila Rawari and Clyde will provide the impetus of the game from the engine room.
Mackenzie Kaman, Damien Kani, Dominic Meli and Camillo Ekari will be around to feed off crumbs in the frontline while Naso Kabura, Ben Tirang, Eddie Meli and Reagan Naipao will ensure the frontline moves from the midfield.
The Dockers also have top-class footballers of their own. They will rely on Emmanuel Tupia, Laurie Logo, Ferdinand Musi, Colin Slim, Archie Mai Jr, Luke Savere Jr, Brendan Bola.
Desmond Kaumu, Wesly Yuwi and Jason Logi to lead the onslaught. The Eagles play an open-running football with short kicks.
In Sunday’s other clash, Concept Koboni to notch their third win of the season at the expense of an inconsistent Gereka Bombers outfit.
