Eagles present daunting task to Koboni in AFL-title run

Sports

KOBONI have a daunting task of rebuilding their image as strong contenders for this year’s Port Moresby Australian Football League (AFL) title.
The Demons face ladder leaders West Eagles in this weekend’s Moni Plus-sponsored match of the round at the Colts Oval on Sunday.
The Eagles remain unbeaten since 2019 on their way to winning back-to-back premierships.
The Eagles have yet to suffer defeat and that clean record justifies them as the undisputed kings of AFL in the modern era.
The Demons have been the Eagles’ traditional rivals for over four decades, contesting the premiership in almost every grand final since early 1980s.
Sunday’s contest will be a reminder of the high level of football displayed by the two teams.
