Earthquke relief

Letters

I appeal to the national Government to consider urgently bringing into the country the million of kina, plus interest, from the LNG project which have been parked in overseas accounts.
This money can be used to buy relief supplies for our people in Hela and Southern Highlands.
It is the landowners’ money and the Hela and Southern Highlands people need is now. Our people deserve this assistance.
Some of the money should be used to buy 12 bigger, better, freight helicopters to cart relief supplies to our people in Hela and Southern Highlands.
The people affected by the earthquake need water supply tanks, potable water treatment plants, emergency shelter, food, medicine, HF/VHF two-way radio, FM radios and solar-powered lighting kits.
Thank you PNG national Government for your genuine, prompt consideration for our people in need.
