THE Wewak town and the whole East Sepik province need a permanent mobile police unit to be stationed in Wewak.

The presence and operation of the mobile police would curb the law and order problem in Wewak and throughout the province.

Over the decades, the provincial capital Wewak and the entire province has completely been lawless. There is no rule of law and the local police on the ground are incapable and powerless to handle the situation.

A permanent police mobile squad must be based in Wewak to patrol the whole province as to keep law and order.

A mobile police barracks need to be established in Wewak for the members to live and execute their police duties.

There is no law in Wewak and East Sepik.

The atmosphere is similar to a war situation. People are living with fear.

Young men are barbaric while being under the influence of home-brew alcohol and drug.

They kill, rape, burn houses and do anything they want at anytime.

The hooligans are the rulers themselves and they do what they want.

They know clearly that there is no law and police in Wewak and the whole of East Sepik province.

It is lies if someone from the public, Wewak police, governor or any East Sepik MPs say that Wewak and East Sepik province is lawful and alright.

That information is misleading.

I am in Wewak, surveying the situation and I am reporting the information.

Instead of waiting for news, the government can easily take such reports from the public in newspaper articles.
