Eda Ranu is urging residents in Port Moresby to provide section, allotment and the nature of water problem so it can dispatch a team to respond.
Residents of June Valley are facing severe water problems and locations have caused confusion and difficulties.
Long-time local resident Tumba Biinem said people got up as early as 2am to fetch water from the main tap due to low water pressure in the area.
“The current residents as well as the old-time residents have been facing this issue for quite a long time up until today,” he said.
According to Eda Ranu customer services operator Idau Ori, a team would be sent to the area for inspection but advised the community to provide sections and allotment addresses when they lodged their complaints.
“There are lot of places in the city where our service line runs, therefore we need proper addresses of these areas so that we can source out where the fault is with our service line,” Ori said.
“If the water pressure is low, it might be because of illegal connections to the main service lines,” she said.
Similar issues occur in the same electorate in the Porebada village.
