Eda Ranu wins award for helping employees to save

WATER company Eda Ranu Ltd has been named as the best employer that facilitates superannuation needs for its employees under Nasfund.
The company received the award at Nasfund’s first-ever occasion of recognising employers supporting their employees to save.
Nasfund chairman Hulala Tokome it was about member engagement and recognising employers for their efforts. “Hopefully, we are making interactions in terms of our employer base and at the same time, the employees of those particular companies,” he said.
“Then, at the same time, being able to provide some form of a customer service orientation – a fund that can be able to be more appealing to our members and that is where this particular vision has come from.”
There were five employer awards:

  •  Most-compliant employer- mandatory contributions category. That is for effective and timely contributions for every fortnight. – Winner Ok Tedi Mining Ltd and runner-up Guard Dog Security Services (Lae);
  •  Employer- above and beyond (voluntary contributions) category. Effective and timely processing as requested from employees. – Winner East New Britain Market Authority and runner-up Ready Mix Concrete (Lae);
  •  Most-compliant employer – member maintenance category. Timely and correctly validating and authorising members’ bio data, updating forms and account information forms. Winner Telikom PNG Ltd and runner-up Camp Admin Ltd;
  •  Most-compliant employer – benefits payments category. Benefit payments, rejecting authorisations for members acting under false pretense to withdraw, providing timely signatory updates to Nasfund as and when authorisation officers/managers move in and out of employment. – Winner Eda Ranu Ltd and runner-up Bank South Pacific.
    l Best voluntary contributing employer (below 15 workers): Companies which have less than 15 employees but contribute to Nasfund on behalf of their employees. Winner C-Wise Ltd and runner-up Global Internet (Lae).
    The sixth award, which is the chairman’s award, went to Eda Ranu which was winner for the overall category.
