EDUCATION is the key to all aspects in your life, an educator says.

Coordinator of International Training Institute in East New Britain, Michael Novingu said this during 13th graduation of St Mathias Tatavul Community School in Warangoi on Tuesday

Novingu said education was the fundamental principle in life.

He said without education people would not live a better life, poverty could cripple one’s life, family, community and the country.

Novingu told the 46 Grade 8 graduating students to plan their goals and implement them to achieve them.

He told the students that they have opened a new chapter in their lives and it was important to note that success and failures were important. They were part of their journey and they should prepare to meet them in life.

“You are leaders of tomorrow to drive the economy of this country, Therefore you all must work hard to get a better education to grow the local and country’s economies,” Novingu said.

He said to deliver better services to the people of East New Britain and the country they needed to have to train to gain skills and use them  to help others in the country.

Novingu urged the students never to say they are failures, adding that there were other opportunities available in the province and other parts of the country to further their education.

He told the graduands not to involve in illegal activities such as brewing of yawa (homebrew), use of drugs.

“These bad activities will only paint a bad image to you and your family,” Novingu said.

International Training Institute sponsored the Grade 8 dux award for the Mathias Community School.
