Education key to success

 A TOTAL of 281 grades 10 and 12 students from the Fr Peter Secondary School, in Jiwaka, graduated last Friday.

Grade 10s totalled 184.

School principal John Haiveta said Fr Peter Secondary was one of the major and pioneer schools in Jiwaka and Western Highlands and graduation in high numbers meant it kept gaining a good reputation.

“Education is the key to success and you’re studying here so you can become somebody,” Haiveta told the students.

Meanwhile, 57 people from Arua-Gei, in Nebilyer, Western Highlands, were last Friday awarded certificates in achievement after they completed two weeks of training in business and life skills.

Training was funded by the Digicel Foundation in partnership with the Catholic Archdiocese of Mt Hagen.
