ELA Motors have been recognised by Massey Ferguson and Yamaha for outstanding sales results over the past 12 months.
“In a year of unprecedented financial turmoil we have seen the PNG market continue to perform well,” David Purcell chief executive officer and director Ela Motors, said.
“Our performance with Toyota Hino and Yamaha in 2009 has been a cause for celebration for us and these two latest awards have capped off the year for us.”
The latest awards for Ela Motors are: Outstanding Sales Performance from Massey Ferguson; and Recognition for selling 1000 Yamaha Boats in 12 months from Yamaha.
“We have been proud of the branch network and the work they have done over the past 12 months.
“The work done on Yamaha and breaking the 1,000 units sales point is testament to that commitment and also the development work done on the Yamaha boats to ensure they continue to be the first choice for PNG,” Purcell said.
He also said credit should also go to Roy Moore and the team at Samurai Plastics in Alotau who manufacture the Yamaha boats and who have increased capacity and quality immeasurably over the years.
“With Massey Ferguson this result comes on the back of a great deal of hard work understanding our customers and providing the level of support they demand.
“These results are always pleasing, but more importantly they are recognition of the work done by the staff at Ela Motors who do care about their customers and continue to look for ways to improve our service,” he concluded.
Ela Motors has operated in PNG for 46 years and holds franchise for Toyota, Hino, Yamaha, Daihatsu, Massey Ferguson and Renault.
It employs more than 870 staff and has 16 branches.
