Elderly woman found dead

AN elderly woman accused of sorcery was found dead at the Goroka block at Hunter in Lae, Morobe province, last Sunday.
Police are treating the death as murder, Lae metropolitan commander Supt Nema Mondiai said yesterday, adding that four people may be rounded up and questioned over the death.
Supt Mondiai said those who might be involved had not been arrested pending the investigation.
“The suspects must have used pieces of timber and other sharp objects to attack the woman because of the many cuts found on her body,” he said.
The body is now at the Angau Memorial Hospital morgue awaiting a post-mortem to determine cause of her death.
