EMMA Oliver has a passion and love for the welfare of animals.
Oliver, from East New Britain, works at the Port Moresby Nature Park and has a background in marine biology.
“I’ve always loved animals,” she said
“I’ve always had the passion for native wildlife and when given the opportunity to work here at Port Moresby Nature Park, I was extremely excited.
“Working with the native wildlife here has taught me a lot.
“Each animal has their own personality, and it’s my job to get to know the animals better and how best I can care for them on a daily basis.”
Oliver cares for the animals in the holding and quarantine areas.
She oversees the head-start programme for the pig-nosed turtles.
She also has great interest in research, particularly with her involvement in the head-start programme.
