Employ qualified web designers

MANY of our universities’ websites looked amateurish, as if they are designed by first year web design trainee students.
Look at the Unitech’s website for example.
Although Unitech produces IT engineers, its website is anything but great.
One of its links, when clicked on, says “this information will be provided later”.
The websites of University of Goroka and UPNG are no better.
They have not been updated since God knows when and are poorly designed.
How can you promote such institutions if they do not give a professional impression?
Websites are one of the ways to promote PNG universities locally and overseas.
While the website of Divine Word University is nothing to shout about, at least it is better than the other universities.
I call on web designers to take a look at the DWU site and learn from it.
If they cannot do that, then I suggest they employ qualified web designers to do the job.
And last but not least, we need current and up-to-date information.
