EMSTRET, a local co-working business network, is encouraging aspiring entrepreneurs to showcase their ideas and innovations to contribute to the country’s entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Chief executive officer Vani Nades said a recently established Climate Launchpad programme would empower entrepreneurs around the world to turn their innovative ideas into successful businesses.
“Entrepreneurs in PNG now have the opportunity to participate in the world’s biggest smart ideas competition, Climate Launchpad.
“The programme, starting on April 9 (today), aims to provide participants with comprehensive training, valuable competition experience, and a platform to launch their innovative concepts.
“We are delighted to build these partnerships to ensure continuous entrepreneurship opportunities for Papua New Guinean entrepreneurs to showcase their innovative ideas on a global platform,” she said.
Nades said the Climate Launchpad not only equipped participants with essential skills but also connected them with a network of like-minded individuals and resources crucial for business growth.
“The programme is designed to make participants investment-ready, providing them with access to high-level networking opportunities and resources for comprehensive business development.
“Emstret Space’s vision is to create an entrepreneurship ecosystem that fosters innovation and collaboration, aligning perfectly with the goals of Climate Launchpad.
“Successful applicants will have the opportunity to participate in a national boot camp and pitch challenge, with the winners advancing to the regional stage for a chance to win start-up capital and other accelerator support.
“The Climate Launchpad programme has been instrumental in empowering entrepreneurs around the world to turn their innovative ideas into successful businesses.
“By participating in the programme, entrepreneurs not only gain valuable skills and knowledge but also become part of a global network of entrepreneurs driving positive change in their communities,” Nades said.
ClimateLaunchpad is the world’s largest green business ideas competition. Its mission is to unlock the world’s cleantech potential that addresses climate change.
