THE East New Britain (ENB) administration has appointed Thomas Nakui as the new acting administrator for Gazelle.
Deputy administrator, corporate services, Marakan Uvano confirmed the appointment of Nakui yesterday.
Uvano said Nakui was a former adviser in the ENB human resource division and had served the district for more than 30 years.
He said the province’s 2023 budget was K600 million and Gazelle was allocated a K60 million.
He said public servants must work with the acting administrator to implement the development plans of the district under the leadership of local MP and Minister for Fisheries and Marine Resources Jelta Wong.
Nakui will be taking over from Hubert Wangun who will be pursuing further studies.
Nakui thanked the provincial administration for having the trust in him and assured the people that he was in the position to serve.
