Ending year with thanksgiving

THE Catholic Professionals Society (CPS) concluded the year with a thanksgiving eucharist last Saturday at the Mary Queen of the Pacific Parish in Port Moresby.
Present for the celebrations were members of the Catholic Professionals, religious representatives of the laity and friends.
Fr Ambrose Pereira, the CPS spiritual director, celebrated the eucharist and he invited all to reflect on the readings and prepare themselves during the four weeks of advent to welcome Jesus Christ.
“You need to remain awake and vigilant in a revolutionary way,” Fr Ambrose said.
“Advent is not a time for gifts, food and parties. It is a time when the prophets invited the people to change their lives and deliver themselves from oppression, bondage and slavery. It’s a time for each one of us to set free from our own slavery, our sins and our addictions.”
