MORE than 160 teachers and public servants in Enga participated in the Nasfund Contributors Savings and Loan Society Limited (NCSL) awareness presentation last week.
According to NCSL, Wabag Secondary School in Enga invited the society to conduct awareness presentation on its products and services during the school’s induction programme for the new teachers last week.
Luke Neah of NCSL Wabag said  160 teachers, along with other public servants, attended the programme and were keen to know more about NCSL’s offerings.
“The teachers were pleased with the outreach and NCSL is looking to extend such awareness sessions to other organisations in Wabag and others of Enga given that it has only recently opened its office there,” he said.
NCSL said it continued to inform members of the benefits in saving for their immediate financial needs and continues to pay monthly and annual interests.
NCSL was established in October 2003 as result of changes made to the Superannuation Act which disallowed voluntary education contributions to be a part of superannuation savings.
Through NCSL we continue to provide a savings facility for not only education – school fee expenses but for other immediate financial commitments as well.
Today, NCSL membership stands at over 84,000 contributors ranging from infants to 65-year-olds.
It has representation through Nasfund branches in Alotau, Bialla, Boroko, Buka, Goroka, Kavieng, Kimbe, Kokopo, Lae, Lihir, Lorengau, Madang, Mt. Hagen, Popondetta, Port Moresby, Tabubil, Vanimo, Wabag and Wewak.
