UNDER the District Development Authorities Act 2014, all meetings of a board shall be open to the public.
A board shall meet at least once in every quarter on such dates and at such times as the chairperson decides in consultation with the secretariat.
The secretariat shall advertise the date and time of a meeting of the board together with the agenda for the meeting seven days before the meeting takes place by one of the following means: a public notice at the office of the district administration; in a newspaper circulating in the district; on the local radio; or on the internet.
The chairperson shall preside at a meeting of the board.
All meetings of the board shall be held in the district.
If they are not complying with these requirements, then whose interests are they serving by managing a public office in secret?
