THE European Union (EU) Delegation to Papua New Guinea has renewed its partnership with St John Ambulance for it to provide primary domestic emergency medical evacuation and retrieval service for its delegates.
St John is helping the EU in upgrading all its existing first aid kits and installing defibrillators at all its worksites in Port Moresby.
St John chief executive officer Matt Cannon said St John’s focus was on helping all Papua New Guineans and visitors to PNG in their time of need, and they relied on partnerships, like this one, to help fund the public emergency ambulance service.
He said any funds raised by St John through important partnerships, like this one, were reinvested to improve the free public ambulance services focused on helping vulnerable people.
Cannon said St John’s social enterprises, like this, were a win for the public who benefited from St John’s services.
