Three ex-servicemen from Group 323 have called on the government to pay their outstanding entitlements, following the announcement by Chief Secretary Mansupe Zurenuoc to pay groups 334 and 188.
The three – Joel Maravo, Thomas Kundila and Yapa Puringi – questioned Zurenuoc’s decision to pay Group 334 and 188 entitlements this year, claiming the two groups had already received their entitlements last year.
“Group 334, 188 and 323, we are all part of the retrenched group from 1982 to 1989, and we won our case in court through the Alternate Dispute Resolution under Judge Ambeng Kandakasi,” Maravo said.
