Examinations dates set

CLASSES in all schools return to normal with new dates set for examinations and the duration of terms this year, an official says.
The Education Department informed schools under the national education system of the revised dates.
Education secretary Dr Uke Kombra issued the revised school term dates for the remainder of the academic year following the resumption of classes on June 9.
Education Minister Joseph Yopyyopy said all classes should return to normal with all teaching and learning activities to be covered from Monday to Friday.
Term two will be for 10 weeks ending on July 10.
There will be one-week holiday before Term three begins on July 20 and ends on Sept 25 followed by a one-week holiday.
Term four begins on Oct 5 and ends on Dec 11 followed by the Christmas holidays.
The national examination dates are: grade 10 Written Expression on July 2, and grade 12 Written Expression on Aug 3.
Grade 10 exams will be from Oct 19 to 23.
Grade 12 exams ate from Oct 26 to 30.
Grade 8 exams from Nov 2 to 5.
All exam dates have been extended by two weeks while the grade 10 written expression by four weeks.
Kombra said all schools should comply with the new rules and enforce the Covid-19 prevention and control protocols.
