 An international 12-member group of coffee roasters, buyers, business people and analysts arrived in Papua New Guinea at the weekend for a 10-day visit that will take them to the five main coffee-growing provinces of the country.

Mick Wheeler, who has been involved in the industry since 1978 and is the Coffee Industry Corporation’s longtime overseas representative on the International Coffee Organisation, and other coffee groups. The 12, who are all members of the Speciality Coffee Association of Europe, travelled to Mt Hagen yesterday and will cover Western Highlands, Jiwaka, Chimbu, Eastern Highlands and Morobe through the Highlands Highway.
