Failures are steps towards success

Letters

I ONCE watched an interview of American actor and director Tyler Perry that changed my perspective towards failure.
He actually failed a lot in life before becoming a multi-billionaire.
When interviewed how he felt about his failures, he said he had never failed.
“All my pass failures were the grace of God preparing me for my successes today.
“That alone blessed me to the core.
“I now no longer see failure as failure. But as the grace of God,” he said.
There would never be any growth without suffering.
We have to suffer to grow.
We have to feel the pain today to avoid regret tomorrow.
Without God, nothing is complete.
Success without God is also incomplete.
Nothing great comes easy.
But instead of fearing failure, let’s embrace it and learn from it.
To be honest, I went through a lot of failures myself, but God is good.
I remember one night I was sitting in my hotel room in China.
I was and kept thinking back at all my past failures.
It was painful though in the past.
But as I thought of it, tears started rolling down my eyes.
I couldn’t believe I was pondering all my failures from another country.
I kept asking the Lord why he chose me to represent my nation there in China.
I am not worth it.
The message was simple.
If we trust in the Lord, no matter what we are going through today, we will reach the unreachable, achieve the unachievable, touch the untouched and do great things.
Don’t see your failures as permanent.
See them as temporary.
They will come and go.
You are not here by mistake.
God sent you here for a purpose.
All your failures are good lessons to learn from.
Never ever take it for granted.
You will be tomorrow what you learn and do today.
So learn from your failure and keep on keeping on.
