IT is all about bringing basic services closer to the people in rural communities.
This is the main goal of Last Wind Enterprise Limited, a business entity established in 2012 in Vunakaur ward in the Toma- Vunadidir local level government (LLG), Gazelle district, East New Britain (ENB).
The family business is run by Vunakaur local Anzac Sammy Vuia, 48, on behalf of his brothers and sisters.
Last Wind Enterprise Ltd started buying locally produced copra and reselling it to Kada Lama.
From there the business expanded into building construction and then to a trade store, running seven years, before venturing into selling fuel and lubricants.
Last Wind Enterprise has now established a fuel and service station which was established last September iat Vunakaur village.
Vuia said the business also had public motor vehicles (PMVs) to transport people and goods to market.
“We provide PMVs to help people bring their produce to the market and the little businesses so that at least we help our people,” Vuia said.
