Farmer wins airline ticket

 A SMALL farmer from Aipeana village in Bereina, Central was among 10 lucky winners who won an airline ticket each as part of Air Niugini’s 40th anniversary promotion.

Simon Ae was lost for word when receiving letter from Air Niugini last Thursday, saying he won an airline ticket.

“I am humbled to have received such a present at this time … it came as a shock for a villager like me and I am still trying to work out where and when I will make use of this free ticket,” he said. 

Other winners include Greg Liripi, Tofayel Siddique, Hayleer Chan, Cathy Painga, Jefferey Soma, Jeremy Whittington, Keebeng Ng and Kengatu Sauala.

The winners were randomly picked from the 112,323 travellers who used the airline betwee September and October 1.
