WICKID Chicken PNG Limited in Lae, Morobe, has branched out and opened its second K2 million food outlet at Eriku offering a variety of flavours with a drive-thru or dining-in services.
General manager Jason James said the fastfood firm had been operating in Lae for three years.
He said the second outlet became a necessity with demand building in the Morobe capital.
The Wickid opened its first shop in 2020 at Lae’s Top Town and, due to customers’ demand for the services they offered, they decided to open a second food outlet.
James said work on the new facility was delayed by six months, resulting in the opening just last Friday.
He said the restaurant boasted a huge dining space in a modern and comfortable setting.
With the Eriku setup, the company’s total workforce has increased to 80 personnel at both locations.
