A father of two has been cleared of allegations that he killed another man and was released from Bomana Jail.
Waigani Committal Court magistrate Cosmas Bidar told Nayang Dupe that police investigations and a medical report proved that Gole Seng died of a heart condition.
There was no evidence that Dupe, originally from Kabwum in Morobe and married with two children, murdered Seng. Dupe, who spent seven months in custody because of the alleged offence, was employed by Lihir Business Services and resided at 6-Mile in Port Moresby at the time of the alleged offence in March.
It was alleged that Dupe and Seng were both drunk at Talai Settlement in Badili and got into an argument.
They fought and wrestled with each other and fell on the ground.
Some of their friends intervene and separated them.
They later went to their respective houses.
Seng died in his sleep and Dupe was accused of murdering him.
Medical examination by doctors found that Seng died of lack of blood circulation in to his heart because of a narrow artery.
The reports assumed that since the deceased had a pre-existing heart condition, a fall on a slope during the fight with Dupe, might have triggered the narrowing and blockage of the artery.
