Fellowship fundraise, calls for support to host convention

THE Destiny Congregation Fellowship of Churches in Port Moresby is hosting a fundraising drive aimed to raise funds to host a convention in December.
Events coordinator Paul Kelly said the 15th Biannual Youths, Pastors and Leaders Convention would be held in NCD from Dec 23-27.
“This is a very big event and we are anticipating around 500 pastors and leaders with over 2,000 youths from around the country,” he said.
Kelly said fundraising activities for the programme commenced last month and would continue until Dec 15.
“Those who are willing to support are welcomed to do so. We would really appreciate thee help.”
Kelly said it was one of the biggest events of their congregation.
“This is the biggest event we are looking at hosting and accommodating close to 3,000 people,” he said.
“We need support to cater for logistics such as tickets for delegates, venues, food and accommodation.” Kelly said there were other administrative and pitfalls which were involved.
Two fundraising events planned are a fresh organic food hamper sales and the other is a raffle with the draw to be made on Dec 27.
