For someone his age Filipino professional golfer Anthony “Tonight” Fernando has been prolific.
The 28-year-old put together 11 tournament appearances in the space of three years having played mainly in his country but also travelling to Malaysia to compete.
Fernando took up golf at 10 and has continued  an 18-year association with the sport.
He has also toured a wide range of playing conditions as an amateur having played in China, Vietnam, USA, Spain, Thailand and Malaysia and Singapore.
He won the Konica UBX Pro-Am in 2008 and was a silver medallist at the 2008 South East Asia Games in Thailand.
This will be Fernando’s first visit to PNG.
