Fifteen men to be questioned over rape case

 POLICE in Rabaul have arrested 15 men wanted for questioning over the recent rape of a woman.

The men from Malaguna village in Rabaul were arrested by police in East New Britain last weekend.

Provincial police commander Supt Anthony Wagambie Jnr said they being questioned over the incident.

The woman had travelled with her boyfriend to his village at Malaguna to spend the night.

But they were held up by the men from a nearby village who were armed with a bush knife.

They took the woman away and assaulted her, only releasing her when it was daybreak. She reported the matter to Rabaul police.

Wagambie said the men would be interviewed before charges were laid.

Wagambie said there was an increase in pack rape especially in the Rabaul area.
