THE Finance Department continued their dominance in the premier division of NCD Public Servants netball competition, with a brace of morale boosting victories on Saturday at the Rita Flynn Courts.
Netball officials decided to hold two matches from round two last Saturday because they were behind schedule. They will have to fast-track their games because it might clash with this year’s Port Moresby netball season which starts soon.
All the teams in their respective divisions had to play two games. National Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) were the first victims of the Finance Department going down 20-12.
NBC goal shooter Sophie Yaruso had a low scoring rate after coming across some pressure by her rivals under the ring.
The Finance women continued their winning run in their second hit out against the Internal Revenue Commission (IRC) with another convincing victory 20-13.
After recording the double victories they now seat comfortably at the top of the competition ladder.
National Fisheries Authority (NFA) experienced some good fortune at the weekend winning their two games against Telikom (6-13) and went on to flog the troubled Port Moresby General Hospital women 25-5.
In other matches, Telikom recorded a victory in their second game against NBC 25-15.
