KK Kingston has announced that its shareholders have approved a board re-alignment.

Two new non-executive directors Howard Wilson and Bob Hansen have joined the board.

Wilson has over 30 years of experience in Canada and Australia in global manufacturing, supply chain and logistics, rising to the chief executive level.  A significant period of his experience was with the Western Star Trucks division of MAN Automotive in Canada and South East Asia, including responsibility for Australia and Papua New Guinea.

More recently, he had worked in waste processing and recycling with Transpacific and later Wanless Enviro Services in Australia.

Hansen worked at Niugini Tablebirds in Lae for 10 years.

He also has years of experience in food production industries.

Hansen brings applied scientific and process related skills.

He recently served as assistant adjunct Professor of Sustainable Agriculture at the University of Southern Queensland in Australia.

Hansen says one of his strengths is bringing a scientific approach to business improvement.

KK Kingston founder and major shareholder Keith Kingston said he was pleased that Wilson and Hansen had agreed to join the board.

He said the business “is doing innovative things and needed a boost from the outside”.

He said KK Kingston needed to benefit from international experience and process control to ensure that the company was best able to respond to all the challenges it faced at the end of the global manufacturing supply chain.

He said “both directors would contribute significant insight and add value for shareholders”.
