TERENCE Ade, 23, received K8,450 from Remington Group for being named the “best in technology” during Don Bosco Technical Institute’s (DBTI) 21st graduation.
From East New Britain, but raised in West New Britain Ade was one of 150 students who graduate in Port Moresby last Wednesday with the highest grade point average.
“I want to thank the Remington Group for the support and encouragement for my career path,” he said.
“I also want to acknowledge my parents and the West New Britain government together with Kandrian District for the school fee support programme.”
Ade said he would use his gift K8,450 to buy tools and would start his career, together with the skills and knowledge that he had learned from the DBTI over the last four years.
Higher Education and Sports Minister Don Polye said you had created yourself a best version that would impact others in the society.
“When I say being a creator, I am not referring you to create our own technology, but be a man of good character and clear goals to achieve in life in your long run,” he said.
Polye said many of our world leaders and inventors were creating themselves first before they became popular.
