TEN booths were set up during the Ray White-hosted Valentine’s Day trade expo at Garden City in Port Moresby last Friday.
Real estate company Ray White has been in the country for over 20 years.
Since it was time for students to head back to school, Mapex Training Institute and International Training Institute also attended the expo to give out application forms.
“We give training students that have dropped out,” Mapex sales and marketing team leader Gerald Anis said.
“We are a certified institution, registered with National Training Council.
“We have job volunteer business courses.
“These are courses for grade 10 and grade 12 dropouts, especially grade 10s and grade 12s with experience, so you can continue to get diploma classes.
“We also provide plant operator and motor vehicle training.
“You do not need a certificate.
“We want to give them a second chance in life.
“It is a two month-course, where after you finish, we issue the certificates with license straight from MVIL (Motor Vehicle Insurance Ltd).
“This is giving a chance to all the dropouts because the system has dropped them out.”
ITI marketing officer Tony Alu said it was working towards meeting its target of 1600 students.
