THE people of Taonita-Tinputz in North Bougainville will be able to follow the spending of their MP David Brown through a new five-year development plan.

Brown said in Buka last Tuesday the development plan was the platform to initiate suitable measures in reshaping and moving forward the constituency.

He said the plan contained village assembly projects as identified by the people of the 13 village assemblies. It was developed to complement possible funding with development partners.

Brown thanked members of the 13 village councils who documented the plan and the Council of Elders for endorsing it.

“The plan is to guide the effective disbursement of the constituency development grant and support grant to co-fund projects that address the real need of the people of each 13 village assemblies in the Taonita-Tinputz constituency,” he said.

“At the same time, it gives a clear picture of where the constituency will be in the next five years in terms of service delivery to promote development from 2015 to 2020.”

The plan fulfils the ABG’s requirements for MPs to submit five-year-development plans.Brown advised the Bougainville administration department secretaries and non-government organisations that he would be visiting stakeholders soon to show his constituency projects in the hope of securing funding assistance or respective expert and professional advice.

“Having a development plan is the way forward in bringing developments,” he said.

“Without a visionary plan like this, we cannot achieve most needed basic services into our villages.”
