Fix highway in Bulolo

Letters

TWO weeks ago, I read in the media about the National Executive Council’s (NEC) withdrawal of an approved Australian government funding and gave the green light for the already-approved road contractor to start doing road maintenances of the Bulolo/Wau National Highway.
Deputy Prime Minister and Bulolo MP Sam Basil is holding onto the second highest post in the Government.
I wonder where he was when the NEC made that decision.
Bulolo and Menyamya people have been crying all these years over the bad state of the road.
Bulolo hosts Hidden Valley and Wafi-Golpu mines, PNG Forest Products, Zeneg Chicken Farm, alluvial gold mining, coffee, cocoa and vanilla. We are the backbone of Morobe.
We cannot continue to be treated as such.
The Government under Prime Minister James Marape and Morobe government under governor Ginson Saonu should do something about this highway before the next national general elections.

Former Bulolo MP
