Fix up bad parts of Lae city

 I REFER to the picture caption about Christmas lighting in Lae (The National, Dec 21). For viewers outside of Lae these lights are installed in selected areas that look better away from the potholes and rubbish in the back streets. Even the solar lightings installed are not effective to provide sufficient lighting for security for the pedestrians. The media must report factually about development taking place in Lae and not just promote the better side of the city.
