For community looking forward for another spectacular

THE Foe community near Lake Kutubu in Southern Highlands is looking forward to another spectacular cultural event the Kutubu Kundu and Digaso Festival which begins today.
The event is supported by Oil Search, ExxonMobil PNG and the Mineral Resources Development Company.
The Kutubu Kundu (drum) and Digaso (oil) Festival is held annually – an initiative of the Kutubu Foe Culture group. It began in 2011.
Oil Search in a statement said it donated more than K12,000 in kind on Monday to help stage the event at Daga village in Kutubu.
The theme encourages communities to support one another in rebuilding their lives and to be self-reliant following the earthquake in February.
The company said it remained committed to long-term recovery and restoration activities which include a major immunisation programme to combat communicable diseases, rehabilitation of health facilities, addressing water, sanitation and hygiene needs.
