EMK Sepik Pride committee has appointed former Papua New Guinea international Arnold Krewanty as Pride’s chief executive officer as part of its board and management team in preparation for the club’s bidding process for the 2023 Digicel Cup season.
East Sepik Governor and club patron Allan Bird announced the members yesterday which includes Krewanty, PNG Kumuls head coach Michael Marum – who was appointed as the club’s coaching director.
“Krewanty was someone I used to watched growing up and I’m really pleased that he’s going to be part of the team,” Bird said.
“We’ve got others who are there to help guide the young people.
“We are very lucky to have Michael Marum because he’s probably the best coach in PNG.
“I want to thank Michael for recognising the potential in Sepik and coming forward to assist us, we are indeed very grateful.”
Apart from Krewanty and Marum, other members of the management and board include Bradley Simon as provincial chairman, Emmanuel Kange as franchise board chairman and naming rights sponsor, and Jason Handikiang as manager of the club’s projects and events.
Bird said he was honored to announce the management team that would help East and West Sepik move rugby league forward, especially in engaging the youth of both provinces.
