Former prisoners get help with poultry projects

Department of Justice and Attorney-General has helped 30 former prisoners in Jiwaka and Western Highlands with poultry projects to help them return to normal life.
The department has supported former prisoners with chicks and stockfeed through their Ex-Inmates Association. Association chairman Pr Moses Kerua said the department had helped former prisoners in the past and was continuing to do so.
He said former prisoners were also assisting with community policing in Anglimp-South Waghi electorate of Jiwaka.
Kerua said his association had 30 members who were now working on their poultry projects.
He said the association would be launched in September.
